Manchester United appear to be the only club prepared to pay Juventus €120m for Paul Pogba, as Real Madrid back out of the race.

According to Sky Sports News in the UK and Spanish paper Marca, Real Madrid have made it clear they will not attempt to match the latest proposal coming out of Old Trafford.

Because agent Mino Raiola is set to receive 20 per cent of a future transfer, the price-tag would go beyond the initial €100m (£85m) and above €120m (£105m).

Because agent Mino Raiola is set to receive 20 per cent of a future transfer, the price-tag would go beyond the initial €100m (£85m) and above €120m (£105m).

That is not including the wages, which are believed to be worth €13m per year – translating as £250,000 per week.

Pogba left Manchester United as a free agent in 2012, arriving as an unknown teenager and in the space of four years transformed into a world superstar.

He will take part in the Euro 2016 Final between France and Portugal this evening.

Italian media are confident Juventus have no intention of selling Pogba, as they are forming a squad to challenge for the Champions League after reaching the Final in 2015.

It’s reported they will also attempt to stave off competition by raising their salary cap from €4.5m to €7m.
Manchester United are spending huge sums on the transfer market under new Coach Jose Mourinho, but are only in the Europa League this season.
