It is reported that Inter have contacted representatives of both Leonardo and Frank De Boer, in the event that Roberto Mancini leaves the club.
The current Nerazzurri Coach has been at loggerheads with the club’s hierarchy for much of the summer, amid rumours of a disagreement over transfer strategy.
His long-term future at San Siro is still yet to be guaranteed and, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, this has led the three-time European champions to sound out potential replacements.
Top of the list is said to be Brazilian Leonardo, who won the Coppa Italia as Inter boss before leaving in 2011.
Next in line is De Boer, who recently left Dutch side Ajax after winning four Eredivisie titles during a six-year spell at the club.
