Reports suggest West Ham United will submit a bid for Juventus striker Simone Zaza in the coming hours.

The Hammers are known to be interested in the Italian international, with the player’s agent confirming as much, though ruling-out a loan move.

Slaven Bilic, the Premier League club’s manager, called Zaza a “top player” earlier today, and Gianluca Di Marzio’s website reports that he’s the top target, ahead of Wilfried Bony.

West Ham are expected to present an official offer to the Bianconeri, who would demand at least the the €25m which was agreed with Wolfsburg before the deal collapsed.

It’s believed Napoli have had a bid accepted, but they won’t conclude the transfer until Manolo Gabbiadini’s move to Everton is resolved.
