Pisa’s situation is truly remarkable, as their opening game was postponed because at the time there was no Coach and the club had no owner.

Gattuso had quit this summer in protest at the situation and only on August 31 did the Mayor confirm he’d agreed a sale to investor Victor Pablo Dana.

The Coach returned on September 1 and just three days later they fought to the bitter end for a surprise victory over Novara.
