Former Milan and Inter Coach Leonardo is pleased to see Marco Verratti poised to start Italy’s World Cup qualifier against Macedonia.
The 47-year-old was a key figure in signing Verratti for Paris Saint-Germain back in 2012, during his spell as director of football at the French club.

“I am a complete fan of Verratti and I am happy,” Leonardo told Sky Sport.

“For the first time there is a team out on the pitch that can show Ventura’s true style of play.”
Coach Ventura is reported to be making six changes from the team which drew 1-1 with Spain on Thursday evening.
