Reports suggest Kostas Manolas rejected a €2.5m per season contract from Roma, but talks will continue.
The Greek defender was linked with a move away from the Giallorossi in the summer, but a clause in his contract meant half of any transfer fee would go to Olympiakos.
According to calciomercato.it, an offer of €40m from Arsenal was rejected over the summer, and once the transfer window closed talks were opened on a new contract.
In late September, the Lupi offered a deal worth €2.5m per season, boosting his current €1.8m per annum wage.
However, the centre-back expects a higher salary and rejected the offer, and Manolas is now waiting for an improved proposal.
