Inter’s Chinese owners reportedly want Laurent Blanc to succeed Frank de Boer, while the club’s Italian contingent would prefer a former Serie A Coach.

According to Tuttosport, talks between Suning Group and the Italian members on Inter’s board opened talks over De Boer’s future on Monday after a third straight League defeat at the weekend.

However, the newspaper claims there may be some discord over who could replace the Dutchman as the former are keen on ex-Inter defender Laurent Blanc, who has been out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain back in June.

The latter, alternatively, would rather a “ferryman”, someone with Serie A experience to steady the ship, in the guise of Stefano Pioli, Francesco Guidolin or Andrea Mandorlini, before approaching the likes of Diego Simeone and Marcelo Bielsa next year.
