“Going back, I realise that I never should’ve left Cagliari and it’s not a decision I would make again. I am 26 years old, I wanted to get on the next step of my career and thank God Cagliari came along.

“When I left in 2015 I had an injury and as soon as I got to Roma, it became even more serious. I was too eager to play and show what I could do and so I pushed too hard.

“A lot has happened over these two years, as I hurt the tendon in my knee and spent so much time in the gym on rehabilitation. I am working in training now and have been out for 15 days, but I am in good shape and think I’ll be available in a few days.

“I spoke to the Coach and hope to convince him of what I can do. All my teammates are very nice and we get along well.

“I haven’t been called up by Colombia for a while, but I still have time to play for my country again.”
