Juventus secured the services of Dusan Vlahovic and Manuel Locatelli in the past, despite strong interest from Arsenal, but Bianconeri and Gunners could battle again in the summer for Joshua Zirkzee, especially if the Bianconeri hire Thiago Motta.

Juventus and Milan are among the clubs interested in signing Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in the summer, but Arsenal can outbid both Serie A clubs. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, matching Bologna’s €60m asking price would ‘not be a problem’ for the Premier League giants, while the Old Lady would need to sell some of their players to raise the money required for the Dutch striker’s signature.

However, the pink paper claims that Juventus can still hope to sign the exciting 22-year-old, especially if they hire Motta as Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement in the summer.

Juventus: Thiago Motta’s appointment would spark new transfer battle with Arsenal

The ex-Italy international is seen as the leading candidate for the job at the Allianz Stadium, and Zirkzee has massively developed under his guidance this season, scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions.

Arsenal and Juventus already fought for two signings over the last few years, and both times, the Bianconeri emerged victorious. First in the summer of 2021, when they signed Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo and then a few months later, when Vlahovic snubbed a transfer to London, opting to move to Turin in January 2022.

Ex-Juventus striker Luca Toni has urged the Old Lady to sign Zirkzee as he feels the Dutch striker has appropriate characteristics to play alongside Vlahovic in the Bianconeri’s attack in 2024-25.
