Arsenal fired up for Udinese

Bacary Sagna insists Arsenal are not crumbling under pressure ahead of the Champions League clash with Udinese.

The Gunners won the first leg of this play-off 1-0 in London, but were fortunate to emerge unscathed after Antonio Di Natale hit the crossbar.

Their Premier League form has been dire with a draw at Newcastle United and Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

“You will see spirit in this team now, we have to fight for each other,” the full-back told The People newspaper.

“We do not feel under pressure to prove anything to people, we just have to perform game after game.

“We honestly ignore all the negative things people are saying. We are expecting a tough game in the second leg, but we have shown so many times we are a good team.

“I think we showed it in the first leg by winning - that was the most important thing. But we will have to defend better.”

Robin Van Persie will be available for the second leg on Wednesday after sitting out his ban, but Laurent Koscielny picked up an injury.

Samir Nasri is unlikely to be risked at the Stadio Friuli, as it could scupper his planned transfer to Manchester City.
