Guidolin: 'We are ready for Arsenal'

Francesco Guidolin has told Udinese they need “no mistakes and the utmost concentration” against Arsenal tomorrow. “We are ready.”

The Friulani lost the first leg 1-0 at the Emirates and welcome Arsenal in the Champions League play-off on Wednesday evening.

“Arsenal are closer to the prize than we are,” said Coach Guidolin in his Press conference.

“We are not lacking emotions, as so many feelings flood our hearts and minds. We think we are ready and will certainly give everything we've got to achieve this extraordinary objective.

“We have tried some alternative tactical solutions, but a team cannot change identity just like that. What we do require is a great performance, because we are facing a strong side.”

Robin Van Persie returns from his ban, but Samir Nasri has been sold to Manchester City, the second big name loss after Cesc Fabregas. The Gunners are also fresh from a 2-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

“I do not believe that Arsenal are in crisis. They are accustomed to playing under pressure and have always known how to react to moments of difficulty. I am not interested in Arsenal's problems.

“It is up to us to put in a strong performance with no errors and try to be as sharp as possible. We need a perfect performance. Our fans will cheer us on, because the whole Friuli region is feeling great trepidation, but we are the ones on the field.”

Antonio Di Natale hit the woodwork at the Emirates and there were several chances for Udinese to score.

“We lost the first leg with a dangerous result and none of us can be happy. We showed tenacity to keep the tie open. Certainty is dangerous, but we must believe that we can do even better than in London.

“We've got Dusan Basta back in the squad, but Antonio Floro Flores is still injured. I still have a little time to decide which starting XI I will pick.”
