Cagliari have invited Genoa to make a bid for Italy's 2010 World Cup goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.
The Marassi outfit have today been strongly paired with Marchetti, who is currently trying to get his contract rescinded after being frozen out of the Sardinian line-up.
Although Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino has rejected speculation that a deal has already been agreed between the two clubs, he is more than willing to do business.
"I haven't spoken with [Genoa President Enrico] Preziosi and there isn't an agreement in place," he stated.
"However, I am ready to sell him Marchetti whenever he wants.
"We had discussions during the summer, but then Genoa signed Eduardo and nothing more happened.
"But I would have no problem in selling Marchetti now. I await Preziosi's call."
Cagliari value Marchetti at around €5m, but he could be signed for free if the footballing tribunal rule in his favour and his Cagliari contract is terminated.
