Premier League interest in Pau Lopez

Spanish reports claim Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez is attracting interest from Chelsea, West Ham United and his old club Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the shot-stopper’s Serie A experience could already be over after just one season at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma paid €23.5m to get him from Real Betis last summer, but he has struggled to live up to expectations and is currently out injured with a fractured wrist.

No Jorginho-Sarri contact 'for a year'

Jorginho and Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri have reportedly not spoken for a year, with the midfielder ‘settled and happy’ at Chelsea.

Jorginho has been continually linked with Juve following Sarri’s move to Turin from Chelsea last June.

However, The Athletic claims the two men ‘have not communicated’ in the time that has passed.

Furthermore, the Italy international is described as having ‘fallen in love’ with London and has ‘particularly relished’ proving fans wrong under Frank Lampard.

Juventus could part with Ramsey

Juventus are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey or include him in a transfer deal just a year after his arrival, claim Sportsmail in the UK.

The Wales international was a free agent at the end of his Arsenal contract when signing for the Bianconeri last summer.

He has struggled for playing time, frustrated by an initial change of position and suffering from recurring injuries.

West Ham beat Milan to Bakayoko?

West Ham United have reportedly moved ahead of Milan in the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Monaco have a €42m option to keep Bakayoko beyond this season, but they seem unlikely to activate it in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 26-year-old was reported to have offered himself to Milan, but Spanish outlet Transfer20 claims West Ham are making the most headway right now.

On this day: Napoli appoint Sarri

On this day five years ago, Napoli appointed Maurizio Sarri as their coach on an initial one-year contract.

Despite being 56 at the time of his move to Napoli, Sarri had only one season of Serie A experience under his belt.

However, he made a positive impression as he guided Empoli to a 15th-placed finish in their first season since winning promotion from Serie B, which the coach also masterminded.

Napoli step up for Boga

Sassuolo are finding it increasingly difficult to hold on to Jeremie Boga, as Napoli reportedly offer €22m.

The 23-year-old winger is having a fantastic campaign with eight goals and four assists in 24 Serie A appearances.

Chelsea have made it clear they do not want to activate the buy-back clause on his contract, while the Neroverdi are eager to hang on to Boga for at least one more season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli are the most determined and are putting forward a bid of over €20m cash.

Inter and Lazio still going for Giroud

Inter, Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly not given up on Olivier Giroud even after his Chelsea contract extension.

The forward was going to be a free agent this summer and was very close to Inter in the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Express, signing a new one-year deal at Stamford Bridge has by no means secured his future, it just guaranteed Chelsea won’t lose him as a free agent.

Inter and Lazio are still ready to pursue the 33-year-old France international.

Chelsea could give Roma Gerson boost

Roma could be about to make a profit without lifting a finger, as it’s reported Chelsea are ready to pay €33m for their former player Gerson.

The midfielder flopped during his brief stay with the Giallorossi from 2016-2018 and didn’t impress much more when on loan at Fiorentina.

He was sold to Flamengo in 2019 for €11.8m, but the deal includes a clause giving Roma 10 per cent of any profit from his next sale.

Douglas Costa swap for Jorginho?

Juventus could offer Douglas Costa in a straight swap with Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, claims Sport Mediaset.

It would be no surprise to see Jorginho reunited with Maurizio Sarri yet again, after they worked together at Napoli and Chelsea.

He’d also represent someone who already knows Sarri’s football well and could therefore help the others at Juve learn his movements.

While the Premier League side want €50m cash to part with Brazilian-Italian Jorginho, Juve are basing most of their transfer dealings on exchanges.
