Chelsea want Tonali

Reports in the UK claim Chelsea are willing to pay €23m to sign Brescia talent Sandro Tonali.

The 18-year-old has been linked with a host of Serie A clubs, and has already been saddled with the tag of the new Pirlo.

Milan, Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Sampdoria have all been following him, according to the midfielder’s agent.

Agent: ‘Hysaj could've joined Chelsea’

Elseid Hysaj’s agent defends his client’s Napoli form, and reveals “he probably would have gone to Chelsea this summer” if not for Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Maurizio Sarri was sacked by the Partenopei in the summer, and replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

The former Coach was then approached by Chelsea, but De Laurentiis refused to release him and Jorginho unless the Blues agreed not to activate the release clauses of any other players.

Manolas wants Roma renewal

Kostas Manolas is reportedly keen to stay at Roma, so wants a new contract with an adjustment to his €36m release clause.

The Greek defender was on the verge of joining Zenit St Petersburg in the summer of 2017, but he changed his mind at the last minute due to a dispute over salary.

Chelsea were linked with a move this summer, and foreign clubs can activate the €36m release clause in his contract.

However, Corriere dello Sport is now reporting that Manolas is keen to stay at the Stadio Olympic , and wants to discuss a new deal.

Ancelotti pays Terry tribute

Napoli Coach Carlo Ancelotti pays tribute to John Terry after his retirement - “an honour to have had you as captain”.

Carletto spent two seasons at Chelsea, winning the Premier League and FA Cup in the 2009-10 season before being sacked the following summer after a trophyless campaign.

Last night his captain for those triumphs, who made over 700 appearances for the Blues, announced his retirement and Ancelotti paid tribute on his Instagram page.

“An honour to have had you as captain,” the Partenopei boss wrote.
