Milan want Fabregas in January

Reports in Spain suggest Milan will move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the January transfer window.

The Rossoneri were linked with the former Barcelona and Arsenal man in the summer, but he ultimately opted to remain at Stamford Bridge.

However, he has struggled to break into the team under Maurizio Sarri and hasn’t made a single Premier League appearance so far.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Mundo Deportivo reports that the 31-year-old will not renew.

‘Sarri changed Serie A’

Former Lazio and Parma midfielder Juan Veron believes Chelsea Coach Maurizio Sarri “changed the style of play in Italy”.

The former bank worker spent three seasons with Napoli, and while he didn’t win a trophy he guided the Partenopei to 91 points last season.

Sarri has now moved on to Chelsea, and has already begun to implement his ‘Sarrismo’ style.

“I saw his style at Napoli, and I’d say he changed the style of play in Italy,” Veron, who also played for Chelsea, said on Radio Crc.

Roma need that Euro belief

Roma are struggling in Serie A so far this season, but Anthony Barbagallo says the Champions League fairy-tale can help rediscover their mojo.

Things on the domestic front look dim for the Romans. The disappointing 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon with Chievo only dampened the side’s chances of staying in touching distance with Scudetto challengers Juventus and Napoli. The Lupi have only registered five points out of a possible 12 and now linger around mid-table.
