Inter move for James?

Inter are planning a summer assault for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, reports La Repubblica.

James had been linked with Napoli throughout the summer, only for Los Blancos to price them out of a deal.

Now, La Repubblica claims the Colombian wants to leave the Santiago Bernabeu and that Inter are a possible destination, along with Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal were also reported to have made an approach, but this was rejected by the player.

Marca: Real Madrid rejected Icardi

Spanish paper Marca claim Mauro Icardi tried to engineer a transfer to Real Madrid in 2017 and 2018, but the club had concerns over his character.

Icardi left Inter on loan to Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day and has been a huge success, scoring 10 goals in 11 competitive games.

PSG hope he can continue that trend when facing Real Madrid in the Champions League this evening at the Bernabeu.

Juve to begin Eriksen talks

Juventus and Real Madrid will both try to start talks with Christian Eriksen in January, as his Tottenham Hotspur contract expires in June.

The Danish midfielder will be a free agent at the end of the season, so can legally begin discussions with other clubs soon.

He has long been associated with both Real Madrid and Juventus, but the lack of a transfer fee gives the Bianconeri an extra boost.

They already snapped up players such as Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey as free agents and hope to do the same with Eriksen.

Juve go for Eriksen in January?

Juventus could make an approach for Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen in January, with new boss Jose Mourinho not standing in his way.

Eriksen's contract is expiring next June, and Corriere dello Sport suggests Juve - who were thought to be interested in signing the midfielder over the summer - could make formal contact with the Dane this winter over a transfer.

It is thought Mourinho has already taken the stance that he won't stand in his way over a move away from North London.

'Can see Skriniar joining Real'

A representative claims “I can see Milan Skriniar going to Real Madrid” over the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City if he leaves Inter.

Reports in Spain suggested over the weekend that Barca and Madrid were ready to do battle for Skriniar.

However, Mithat Halis - who works for Star&Friend, the agency representing the defender – believes Los Blancos are “closer” to his client.

“Skriniar is worth €100m,” he told AS.

Pintus: 'Inter players trimmer'

Inter's fitness coach Antonio Pintus has remarked their players are trimmer this season, carrying less weight compared to last year.

Pintus was signed in the summer from Real Madrid and discussed his work in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"For me and Antonio Conte, strength is a very important aspect. I don't follow trends and I agree with the coach: to achieve goals you have to train well."

Barca-Real battle for Skriniar?

Inter defender Milan Skriniar is wanted by both Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to Spanish reports.

Barca are planning a successor to Gerard Pique, and see the 24-year old Slovak as the ideal candidate. Skriniar isn't the first Inter played to be linked with the Catalans as of late, with Lautaro Martinez also thought to be of interest.

The plan would be for Skriniar to play as a reserve to Pique, and eventually take over when the Spaniard's career was winding down, a proposal that the defender isn't enthused about.
