Kamada flies in for Genoa

Genoa could complete their swoop for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Japan international Daichi Kamada this weekend.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the creative midfielder – who turns 23 next month – could arrive today for his medical.

Kamada joined Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017 and spent last season on loan with Belgian side Sint-Truiden.

It was there that he scored 16 goals and provided nine assists in 36 competitive games.

He had also been linked with Fiorentina and the cost of the operation is believed to be around €5m.

Pellegri part of Inter-Monaco deal?

Monaco want Inter midfielder Joao Mario and full-back Dalbert in a double deal worth €40m, but Pietro Pellegri could go the other way.

According to Sportmediaset, the Nerazzurri are after €40m to part with both Joao Mario and Dalbert, who are not part of new Coach Antonio Conte’s plans.

In turn, Monaco are eager to lower that figure by including a player in part-exchange and the key could well be Pellegri.

Toro fight Monaco for Kamano

Torino, Genoa, Sampdoria, Monaco and Sevilla have approached Bordeaux for forward Francois Kamano, claim L’Equipe.

According to the French paper, Toro in particular are in talks over the 23-year-old Equatorial Guinea international.

He plays on the left side of attack, but can also do well on the right or as a centre-forward.

His contract with Girondins de Bordeaux is due to expire in June 2021, but he wants to move on now.

Genoa swoop for Kamano?

Genoa are reportedly keen on taking Bordeaux attacker Francois Kamano from under Monaco’s noses.

Genoa face Bordeaux on August 2, and Calciomercato.com cites reports in the French Press which claim it could be more than just a preseason friendly.

That is because the Grifone would have targeted Kamano, who is rated at €15m and has also been linked with Monaco.

The 23-year-old Guinea international and is right-footed left winger, who can also play through the middle.

Genoa & Sassuolo in swap deal

Sassuolo have signed Alessandro Russo from Genoa, who have taken Francesco Cassata in exchange.

Russo is an 18-year-old goalkeeper who represents Italy at Under-19 level, most recently at the European U19 Championship.

He moves to Sassuolo on a permanent basis, while heading the other way is 22-year-old midfielder Cassata.

The Italy U21 midfielder, who passed through Juventus’ Primavera squad, played 19 times for Frosinone in Serie A last season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Genoa going for Biglia

Genoa are interested in Milan and Argentina midfielder Lucas Biglia, according to Sportitalia.

It’s reported Genoa are ready to give Biglia a new chance to shine in Serie A.

He impressed at Lazio and made the move to Milan for €19.2m two summers ago.

The 33-year-old has struggled to make an impact at San Siro and could move on.

Sportitalia maintain Genoa will give Biglia the opportunity to both remain in Serie A and prove himself all over again.

Genoa look at Bruno Peres

Genoa have reportedly set their sights on landing Roma right-back Bruno Peres.

Peres is currently on loan at Sao Paulo with an option to buy.

However, he has made just two appearances since February and Globoesporte does not expect the Brazilian side to retain him.

With that in mind, the newspaper writes Genoa will dive in for the 29-year-old if his loan spell is terminated early.

Peres made his name at Torino, impressing enough in his two seasons at the club to earn a move to Roma in 2016.

Genoa close on Real Madrid midfielder

Genoa are close to signing Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Silva on a permanent basis, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The 26-year-old Brazilian is only under contract until June 2020 and has no room in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.

He was purchased from Cruzeiro for €13m in January 2015, but was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2016.

Lucas Silva was sent out on loan to Olympique Marseille and then back to Cruzeiro for the last 18 months.

He made just nine competitive appearances in a Real Madrid jersey.

Belgian midfielder leaves Genoa

Genoa midfielder Stephane Omeonga has joined Belgian side Cercle Brugge on loan with an option to buy.

Omeonga impressed during a six-month loan spell at Hibernian, scoring one goal in 17 appearances.

However, the Scottish club were unable to negotiate his return and he will now head home to play for Cercle, who finished 13th in the Belgian top tier last season.

The 23-year-old represented Belgium at Under-21 level but is still eligible to play for DR Congo.
