Hernanes: ‘I’m a trequartista’

New Juventus signing Hernanes insists he’s arrived as a trequartista - ‘that’s where I expect to play’.

The midfielder joined from Inter for €11m yesterday, and has played in a variety of roles in his time in Italy, including as a deep-lying playmaker.

Bianconeri Coach Max Allegri had been requesting someone to play behind the strikers all summer, and the Brazilian insists that’s his best role.

“I’ve played in a lot of positions,” Hernanes admitted, speaking to Juve’s official website.
