Guarin, Gervinho moves fall through?

Jiangsu Suning’s attempts to sign Inter’s Fredy Guarin and Roma’s Gervinho have fallen through, according to reports.

The Chinese club also came close to securing Milan striker Luiz Adriano this week, before the Brazilian pulled out at the last moment.

Jiangsu have been linked with big-money moves for Guarin and Gervinho, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports today that the deals have collapsed.

Allegri: ‘Hernanes in, Pogba out'

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri reveals that Hernanes could start against former club Lazio tomorrow, but Paul Pogba will again be rested.

The two clubs face off in the Coppa Italia quarter-final at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening, with kick-off at 19:45 UK time.

The winner will face the victor of tonight’s clash between Napoli and Inter at the San Paolo in a two-legged semi-final.

Hernanes: ‘Versatile for Juventus’

Hernanes is willing to embrace a deeper role for Juventus - “the strength of my career has been my ability to adapt.”

The Brazilian was signed from Inter this summer, and was initially expected to be deployed as a trequartista.

However, Coach Massimiliano Allegri has said that the envisions a deep-lying playmaker role for the 30-year-old.

“We have to always give our best in training and wait for our chance,” Hernanes told Sky.

Marotta: 'No big January buys'

Juventus director Beppe Marotta warned of “unpredictable” Sampdoria and told fans not to expect big January buys.

‘Last six games decisive for Scudetto’

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri believes “the last six games will be crucial” in the Scudetto race.

Inter currently lead the pack, with Fiorentina and Napoli a point behind, the Bianconeri trailing by three, and Roma a further point behind the Turin side.

Three weeks out for Hernanes

Juventus have announced that midfielder Hernanes will be out for around three weeks with a thigh injury.

The Brazilian went off injured in the 1-0 win over Milan on Saturday, and underwent medical tests today.

“Today diagnostic tests were performed on Hernanes, following the muscular problem suffered in the match against Milan,” a statement on the Bianconeri’s official website began.
