Semplici: 'SPAL still motivated'

Leonardo Semplici assures SPAL still have something to play for against Udinese, but won’t discuss his future. “I’m very happy in Ferrara.”

The Biancazzurri are mathematically safe with 42 points and travel to Udine tomorrow, to face a side still battling against relegation.

“Even though we are safe, we still have something to play for,” the tactician said in his Press Conference.

D'Aversa: 'No Parma excuses'

Coach Roberto D’Aversa warned there “can’t be any excuses” after a 4-1 loss to Bologna left Parma just three points above the drop zone.

The Gialloblu were beaten 4-1 at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara this evening, and that defeat made it eight games in a row without a win in Serie A.

“There is definitely regret and unhappiness about that defeat tonight,” the 43-year-old tactician told Sky Sport Italia.

Bologna thump sorry Parma

Bologna utterly dominated the Reggio-Emilia Derby and this 4-1 victory, including two bizarre own goals, allows them to leapfrog Parma and catch Fiorentina.

Bruno Alves was sent off in the second half and Roberto Inglese’s goal on his comeback was scant consolation.

If Parma weren’t looking over their shoulders before, they certainly need to consider the prospect of being sucked back into the relegation zone now.

They now sit in 16th position, one point ahead of Genoa and only two clear of Empoli, who take up the last relegation place.

“It was an important victory,” the Croatian told Radio Rai1.
