The slow rise of Caputo and Toni

Francesco Caputo isn’t the first forward to take the long route to success, as Giancarlo Rinaldi looks at the Sassuolo forward and predecessor Luca Toni.

Done deal: Douglas Costa to Bayern Munich

German and Italian reports claim Douglas Costa is leaving Juventus for a return to Bayern Munich on loan, again creating room for Federico Chiesa.

Kicker, Sky Sport Deutschland and Sky Sport Italia all claim this evening a deal has been struck for the Brazilian to go back to his old club.

It is a dry loan, so with no option to buy, but Bayern will cover the Douglas Costa salary and likely give a small figure to Juve for the loan period.

Immobile: 'Lewandowski is my role model'

Lazio forward Ciro Immobile said ‘it’s incredible to have scored more goals’ than his 'role model' Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich.

Juventus stuck with Douglas Costa

Juventus are having difficulty finding a buyer for Douglas Costa, with reports his only firm proposals are from China and Qatar.

The 30-year-old is not part of the Bianconeri’s plans and they had hoped to raise precious funds with his sale this summer.

However, Calciomercato.com note that the offers expected from Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have either not materialised, or are considerably lower than the €50m asking price.
