Insigne father slams 'flop' Ancelotti

Lorenzo Insigne’s father reportedly stormed out of the Napoli match with Arsenal, calling Coach Carlo Ancelotti “a flop.”

Tuttomercatoweb and Radio Punto Zero both reported seeing Carmine Insigne furious at the Europa League quarter-final defeat, walking out of the Stadio San Paolo declaring Ancelotti is "a flop."

Insigne was substituted during the second half of the 1-0 loss, 3-0 on aggregate, and received some jeers from the crowd.

Koulibaly: 'Napoli didn't take chances'

Kalidou Koulibaly admits “at this level if you don’t take your chances, then you won’t progress” after Napoli crashed out of the Europa League to Arsenal.

Arsenal a big chance for Insigne

Napoli players sign Adidas deal

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis praised the “consolidation of our collaboration with Adidas” after four more players signed on.

Lorenzo Insigne moved over to Adidas as his technical sponsor in May 2018, prompting reports Napoli were ready to drop Kappa and sign a new deal with the German sportswear giant.

Now Simone Verdi, Amin Younes, Elseid Hysaj and David Ospina will also wear Adidas boots this season.

Insigne: 'Still thinking about chance'

Lorenzo Insigne admits he is “still thinking about that chance” he missed in the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal, but still believes Napoli can turn it around.

The Partenopei have a mountain to climb in order to reach the Europa League semi-final following the 2-0 loss in London.

“I am still thinking about that chance, because an away goal would’ve been important. I got there too stretched out, it went badly,” the captain told Sky Sport Italia.

Napoli changes for Arsenal trip

Napoli could make some changes for the Europa League quarter-final with Arsenal, using Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens together.

The first leg is in London on Thursday at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

Insigne and Faouzi Ghoulam made their comebacks from injury in the 1-1 draw with Genoa on Sunday evening, but Amadou Diawara and Raul Albiol are still out of action.

Insigne & Verdi fit for Arsenal

Lorenzo Insigne and Simone Verdi are in Napoli’s squad to face Arsenal in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday.

Insigne was rested for Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Genoa but has recovered from a thigh injury, while Verdi is passed fit after his muscular twinge.

Faouzi Ghoulam has also proved his fitness, completing 76 minutes of his comeback against Genoa, but Amadou Diawara and Raul Albiol remain sidelined.

Montella drops Fiorentina hint

Vincenzo Montella has suggested that he would be open to a second spell in charge of Fiorentina, where he had ‘three wonderful years’.

Montella coached Fiorentina between 2012 and 2015, leading the Viola to a Coppa Italia Final, while the 44-year-old is currently out of work.

“I rate Pioli and I think he deserves to be in charge for the Coppa Italia semi-final achieved on the pitch with some great performances,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
