‘Napoli can go all the way’

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent believes Napoli can go “all the way” and win the Scudetto this season.

The Partenopei have won five of their last six Serie A games, and currently sit just two points behind Roma at the top of the League.

“I don’t know whether it’s a curse to talk about the Scudetto,” Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Crc.

“I’m of the opinion that it’s always best to remain cautious. There’s one certainty though, Napoli are equipped to go all the way.

Agent: ‘Insigne wants Napoli for life’

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent reaffirms his client’s desire to “stay at Napoli for life”.

The Italian international was born in Naples, and came up through the club’s youth system, and his representative says he’s willing to commit for the rest of his career.

“His contract expires in 2019 and Lorenzo Insigne has repeatedly said that he wants to stay at Napoli for life,” Antonio Ottaiano reminded Radio Crc.

Lippi: ‘Napoli can win Scudetto

Marcello Lippi believes Napoli are Scudetto contenders, and discusses the Derby d’Italia.

The Partenopei continued their fine recent form this weekend with a win over table-toppers Fiorentina, leaving them just three points behind the Viola.

“Napoli have confirmed their technical strength up-front,” the former Vesuviani Coach told Gr Parlamento.

“They have extraordinary players like [Gonzalo] Higuain and [Lorenzo] Insigne, and they’re performing very well.

Insigne tattoo for Dad

Lorenzo Insigne’s father Carmine got a special tattoo to commemorate his son’s brace for Napoli against Milan.

The starlet scored twice in the remarkable 4-0 victory at San Siro two weeks ago.

Carmine Insigne will always remember that moment, thanks also to a large tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.

It depicts Insigne’s celebration in front of a sunset on the coast of Naples with the date 04-10-15.

Insigne fit to face Fiorentina

No surprises in the Napoli squad to face Fiorentina, as Lorenzo Insigne is available again.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 UK time (13.00 GMT), click here for a match preview.

There were concerns over Insigne after he pulled out of international duty last week with a knee injury.

He has been training for the last three days with the team and is expected to start tomorrow afternoon.

The only absentees are Jonathan de Guzman and Juan Camilo Zuniga.

Insigne fit to face Fiorentina

Lorenzo Insigne will be fit to start for Napoli against Fiorentina on Sunday, confirmed his agent.

The local talent pulled out of international duty with a knee injury sustained during the 4-0 victory over Milan, but has been training with the Napoli squad this week.

“He went to the Nazionale with a few knocks against Milan, so as he was unable to play for Italy, it was thought best he undergo treatment at Napoli. There’s nothing anomalous about that,” representative Antonio Ottaiano told Radio Bruno.

Agent: ‘Insigne won’t be excluded’

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent says suggestions he could be ostracised by Italy are “absurd”.

The Napoli playmaker pulled out of the Azzurri squad to face Azerbaijan and Norway with an injury, with suggestions CT Antonio Conte was not happy, and could leave him out of future squads.

“Guessing the squad for the European Championships eight months in advance is a bit much,” Fabio Andreotti scoffed, speaking to Radio Marte.

Conte: ‘Pirlo injury not serious’

Antonio Conte assures Andrea Pirlo’s injury is “nothing serious” but it’s “unthinkable” he could play tomorrow.

It was announced earlier today that the New York City midfielder would miss Italy’s clash with Azerbaijan, as he has suffered an adductor injury, but the CT assures the injury is not a bad one.

“During the warm-up match, Andrea went into a challenge with a teammate,” Conte explained to Sky.

Napoli 'super optimistic' for Insigne'

Napoli doctors are “super optimistic” Lorenzo Insigne will be able to face Fiorentina next weekend.

The forward was sent home from international duty with a swollen knee.

“Insigne is fine, he’s in decent condition, but at this moment cannot complete a training session 100 per cent,” Napoli medic Alfonso De Nicola told Radio Kiss Kiss.
