Gasperini: 'EL priority over Serie A'

Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini admits that he will 'prioritise the Europa League over Serie A next season'.

La Dea mathematically clinched their qualification for Europe after a 1-1 draw with Milan on Saturday.

"This season has overturned the usual position of Atalanta, even if there is still a point to mathematically secure fifth," the Coach told Radio Anch’io Sport. "But this season has changed the prospects of this club so much.

Papu: 'Staying with Atalanta unless...'

Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez celebrated Atalanta’s passage into Europe and noted “unless I receive an offer I can’t refuse, I’m staying here.”

The Orobici were pegged back 1-1 by Milan this evening, but the point was enough to secure a top six finish.

“We wanted to win and had the chances to do it, so the draw is disappointing, but on the other hand it was against a tough side like Milan,” Papu told Mediaset Premium.

Milan linked with Papu Gomez

Milan are reportedly looking to bring in Atalanta forward Alejandro Gomez as a replacement for Gerard Deulofeu this summer.

Despite rumours that the Rossoneri are hoping to secure Keita Balde Diao from Lazio, Corriere dello Sport reports that sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is planning to deal with Atalanta for the 29-year-old, nicknamed "Papu".

With Deulofeu looking increasingly likely to return to Barcelona at the end of the campaign, Milan need to move to replace the Spaniard in the side.

Gomez launches Papu Dance single

Atalanta star Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez has released a single for charity, including other football players, based on his trademark ‘Papu Dance.’

The Argentine united with the comedy group Gli Autogol (the own goals) to make the single and video, which you can buy on iTunes, Spotify or Google Play.

The proceeds go to help the ‘Insuperabili’ – football school for disabled children.

As well as Papu and Gli Autogol, the video includes Cagliari midfielder Simone Padoin and Chievo full-back Fabrizio Cacciatore.

Gasperini: ‘A perfect match’

Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta-Juventus was “a practically perfect match”, with a deserved point for his side.

The Orobici were on top in the first half of tonight’s game, and held a deserved lead at the break, but looked to have lost to Dani Alves’ late header.

Gomez: ‘Atalanta want Europe’

Alejandro Gomez acknowledges Atalanta are facing “one of the best teams in the world” in Juventus but “we want to end the season in Europe”.

The Orobici face the League leaders in Bergamo tonight, with the Old Lady looking to close in on a sixth Scudetto in a row.

“There’s a lot of motivation to do well against a tough team,” Gomez told Premium Sport ahead of the match.

Lazio go for Papu Gomez

Lazio are trying to include Danilo Cataldi and Etrit Berisha as part of a negotiation for Atalanta star Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez.

The 29-year-old Argentine winger has been a key figure in his side’s run to fifth place, scoring 14 goals with nine assists in 31 Serie A appearances.

Several clubs are interested in Gomez, including Fiorentina, Roma and Milan.

His price-tag is in the region of €7.5m and, according to Il Messaggero, Lazio hope to lower it by including two players as part of the deal.
