Calabria and Romagnoli injured

Milan’s injury crisis just keeps getting worse, as Davide Calabria and Alessio Romagnoli pulled out of their respective Italy squads.

The Under-21 side lost 2-1 to England and have another friendly against Germany coming up on Monday evening.

Calabria won’t take part, as the Rossoneri full-back is still struggling with an ankle injury and has been sent home early.

Instead, Coach Gigi Di Biagio called in 22-year-old SPAL full-back Lorenzo Dickmann.

Kean open to January move

Moise Kean was on target for the Italy Under-21 side against England, but admits he doesn’t know if he’ll leave Juventus in January.

The 18-year-old found the net for a temporarily equaliser in this evening’s 2-1 friendly defeat in Ferrara.

“It was a good performance, although if we had won then it would’ve been even better,” Kean told Tuttomercatoweb.

Di Biagio: 'Satisfied despite defeat'

Coach Gigi Di Biagio insists he is “satisfied despite the result” after Italy’s Under-21 side lost 2-1 to England in a friendly.

Nicolò Zaniolo of Roma could’ve had a brace in the first two minutes at the Stadio Paolo Mazza in Ferrara, but instead Dominic Solanke was far more effective, scoring his only two real opportunities.

“We came up against a great England team,” Di Biagio told Rai Sport.

U21: Wasteful Italy lose to England

Dominic Solanke’s brace gave England the 2-1 friendly win in Ferrara, as Moise Kean’s header was the only one of the Italy Under-21 team’s many chances to go in.

This was a high-profile friendly at the Stadio Paolo Mazza in Ferrara, the home of Serie A club SPAL, between two of the main contenders for next year’s European Under-21 Championship.

Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo missed a sitter within 60 seconds of kick-off, incredibly firing over from six yards after Rolando Mandragora pulled back from the by-line.
