De Jong: Happy at Milan

Nigel de Jong has looked to clarify that he is ‘happy at Milan’ and is not intending to leave the club this summer.

The Netherlands international hinted two weeks ago that his future may be away from the Rossoneri, in light of Clarence Seedorf’s then-impending exit in place of Pippo Inzaghi.

With that coaching change now confirmed, the 29-year-old has looked to assert that his future remains at San Siro.

Tassotti stays, Vio in

Milan have confirmed the make-up of their coaching staff for the coming season, with Mauro Tassotti remaining as assistant.

There had been speculation the 54-year-old would leave his post following 13 years in the job, during which he has served under previous Coaches Carlo Ancelotti, Leonardo, Max Allegri and the recently sacked Clarence Seedorf.

In Inzaghi Milan trust

Milan appear to be in old territory after appointing Filippo Inzaghi as Coach, but Jeremy Lim believes that the timing could right for the ex-striker to succeed.

Milan first sought to build their future with Clarence Seedorf. As ill-advised as the appointment seemed, the Dutchman did manage to do himself credit. But with the club’s management increasingly reported as in two minds about his suitability, his reign grew untenable, until it was terminated on Monday. By then cast out, it’s difficult to fathom how acrimonious the split has become with the club legend.

‘Seedorf should have listened’

Mattia De Sciglio says outgoing Milan Coach Clarence Seedorf should have listened more to his players.

The Dutchman arrived at San Siro in January and his four-month tenure saw an overall improvement in the Rossoneri’s results.

However, they missed out on Europa League qualification and the club are set to appoint another of their legendary ex-players, Pippo Inzaghi, as his successor.
