Cairo: 'Serie A June 13 or 20'

The Government, Lega Serie A and FIGC finally agreed on a medical protocol for group training, so on May 28 should set the date for games to resume.

Boga: 'Atalanta and Napoli talks'

Jeremie Boga’s brother and agent confirms he has had talks with ‘Napoli, Atalanta and other European clubs,’ but ‘couldn’t say’ if Chelsea will exercise their buy-back option from Sassuolo.

The 23-year-old attacking winger has had a fantastic campaign, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 24 Serie A matches.

Sassuolo bought him from Chelsea for €3m in the summer of 2018, but the Stamford Bridge side do have a buy-back option worth €20m.

Inter and Milan are a step closer to getting their new stadium after the local council report ruled the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza at San Siro is ‘not culturally relevant.’

The two clubs had asked to knock down the existing structure and build a new state of the art stadium over the top, whereas the local authorities urged them to maintain the old San Siro pitch in some form or another.

Tagliavento: 'If I'd had VAR in my career...'

Former referee Paolo Tagliavento admits VAR would’ve allowed him to avoid ‘the five worst errors of my career,’ including the infamous Sulley Muntari phantom goal.

That incident was one of the main reasons why goal-line technology was introduced, as during a Scudetto showdown at San Siro in February 2012, Muntari’s shot for Milan was palmed away by Gigi Buffon, but only after it had crossed the Juventus line.

Fiorentina to send back Cutrone?

Fiorentina are reportedly planning to send striker Patrick Cutrone back to Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Cutrone only joined Fiorentina in January on an 18-month loan with an option to buy for a reported €16m.

However, after just nine appearances and one goal, The Daily Mail writes the Viola want to return the 22-year-old, preferring a ‘more experienced’ forward to complement Dusan Vlahovic.
