Irrati has booked 70 players, sent off five and awarded 10 penalties in his 16 matches as referee this season.

He has not officiated a Verona game so far in 2019-20 but did oversee Inter’s 2-1 win against SPAL.

Elsewhere, Antonio Giua is entrusted with Atalanta-Sampdoria and Maurizio Mariani will preside over Napoli’s trip to Genoa this evening.

Reports: Milan push for Szoboszlai

Reports claim Milan are hard at work to sign RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai, who has a €25m release clause.

According to Sportitalia, Milan are ‘trying to close’ a deal for Szoboszlai, as per the instructions of manager-elect Ralf Rangnick.

Rangnick is fully aware of the 19-year-old’s potential, given he is currently Red Bull’s head of sport and development.

The Hungarian can also be snapped up for a fair price, with his release clause set at €25m.

Unbelievable Milan

It seemed hard to believe Milan would be the pivot of the Scudetto race, but after beating Lazio and Juventus, Vijay Rahaman welcomes the sleeping giant back to centre-stage.

Milan have gone from irrelevance to centre-stage in the Scudetto fight, as in the space of three days they beat both the top two and kept the title race alive. Perhaps even more importantly, they showed just what Stefano Pioli’s team are capable of, even in troubled times.

Tonali leads €75m Milan triple swoop?

Milan are reportedly targeting a €75m triple swoop for Sandro Tonali, Dusan Vlahovic and Kristoffer Ajer this summer.

Tonali seemed destined for Inter, but Sky Sport Italia broke last night that incoming Milan chief Ralf Rangnick ‘really likes’ the Brescia midfielder.

Therefore, the Rossoneri are expected to make an effort for the 20-year-old, who has six assists and one goal in 27 games this season.

He has never hidden his affection for the Diavolo, with their arch-rivals yet to agree a fee and Juventus still holding back.

Highlights: Milan 4-2 Juventus

Juventus thought the job was done after going 2-0 up with an Adrien Rabiot stunner and Cristiano Ronaldo effort, but Milan made an amazing comeback to win 4-2.

All the goals came in a frantic second half at San Siro, as Rabiot got his first goal in the Bianconeri jersey by running from his own half, then Ronaldo pounced on a comical defensive error.

However, after a penalty was awarded via VAR, converted by Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it went from 0-2 to 3-2 in the space of six stunning minutes.

Sarri: 'Juve in control, then blackout'

Maurizio Sarri insists Juventus should not even try to analyse their ‘blackout’ against Milan, because they were ‘world class and in total control for 60 minutes.’

The Bianconeri could’ve gone 10 points clear after Lazio lost 2-1 to Lecce earlier this evening, but instead the gap remains at seven because they fumbled a 2-0 lead for the 4-2 defeat at San Siro.
