Milan and Barcelona continue to negotiate for the loan with an option to buy Junior Firpo, but the player has reportedly asked for guarantees from the Rossoneri.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the left-back is flattered by the attention from the Diavolo, but he wants to understand how much space he will have at Milan over the coming months.

Firpo will compete for a place at left with Theo Hernandez and wants guarantees of playing time, according to the report.

Serie A Week 19 referees

The AIA has announced the referees for Serie A Week 19, with Maurizio Mariani given Milan-Atalanta on Saturday and Antonio Giua overseeing Lazio-Sassuolo.

The Serie A teams are halfway this weekend and Milan finish off the first rounds of fixtures with a home leg against the Orobici at San Siro.

Atalanta return to their home ground in the Champions League 2019-20 and 38-year-old Mariani will be at the whistle for his first Serie A meeting between the two sides.
