Montella: 'Defeat would've been harsh'

Vincenzo Montella insists Fiorentina fully deserved at least a draw against Inter, but admits his job isn’t secure yet. “I will always be under pressure.”

It looked as if his tenure would be over when Borja Valero gave Inter the lead, but deep into stoppages, Dusan Vlahovic ran from his own half to score a stunning equaliser.

This 1-1 draw ends a run of four consecutive Serie A defeats for the Viola.

Dragowski: 'Fiorentina behind Montella'

Bartlomiej Dragowski says Fiorentina “aren’t afraid” of Inter and that they will be playing to keep Vincenzo Montella in charge.

The two sides face off at the Artemio Franchi on Sunday, in arguably the pick of Serie A games this weekend, and Dragowski made it clear Fiorentina were still behind Montella despite their run of defeats.

Dalbert: 'I'll celebrate against Inter'

Dalbert has confirmed that he will “absolutely” celebrate a goal against Inter with Fiorentina, who are “the best choice I could’ve made.”

The left-back arrived on loan from Inter in August and faces his parent club in Serie A this weekend.

Fiorentina need the points and Dalbert states he wouldn’t hesitate to celebrate if he scores against his former teammates.

Montella: 'I have confidence'

Vincenzo Montella tried to look at the positive side after Fiorentina lost to Torino and shrugged off sack talk. “I have confidence we can turn it around.”

It was a fourth consecutive Serie A defeat for the Viola, who fell 2-1 at Torino with only a stoppage-time Martin Caceres consolation goal.

“I thought the team played very well in the second half and ultimately deserved a point out of it,” the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
