Lukaku: I'll help Inter fight racism

Romelu Lukaku says ‘Inter were the club I wanted to play for in Italy’ and that he is ready to help them in their fight against racism.

Lukaku has made an instant impact for Inter since arriving from Manchester United last month, scoring two goals in his first two Serie A games.

However, the striker’s second appearance saw him racially abused by Cagliari fans and Nerazzurri ultras even defending their actions.

Argentina held to Chile stalemate

Paulo Dybala, Lautaro Martinez, Rodrigo de Paul and Joaquin Correa all played for Argentina but could not find the breakthrough against Chile.

Lionel Scaloni named a Serie A-heavy XI on Thursday evening, with Dybala, Martinez and Correa lining up in a front three and De Paul playing central midfield.

Despite the array of attacking talent on show, the Albiceleste failed to break down a resilient Chilean side captained by Inter new boy Alexis Sanchez.

Wanda Nara admits while Mauro Icardi is ‘honoured’ to join Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus were ‘interested’ and she ‘thinks’ the striker will return to Serie A.

It had long been reported that Icardi’s preference was Juve in the event he could not stay at Inter, although the Argentine ended up signing for PSG on deadline day earlier in the week.

Wanda: No Inter divorce

Wanda Nara says Mauro Icardi and Inter are only ‘taking time to reflect’ and that he lost the captaincy because the club wanted to sell him.

Icardi finally left Inter on Monday, joining Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan with a reported €70m option to buy, but Wanda made it clear the striker still had the Nerazzurri in his thoughts.

“It’s not a divorce, Mauro and Inter are like lovers who are taking time to reflect,” she told Corriere della Sera.

Wanda: 'I had Icardi ace up my sleeve'

Wanda Nara insists there was a strategy behind Mauro Icardi’s last-minute move from Inter to PSG. “If I waited until the last moment, it’s because I had an ace up my sleeve.”

The forward maintained all summer that he loved Inter and did not want to leave, rejecting transfers to Napoli, Roma, Monaco and more.

He even took legal action against the club, demanding €1.5m in compensation and immediate reintroduction to complete training sessions.

Matuidi: 'Happy at Juventus'

Blaise Matuidi had a message for Romelu Lukaku after racist abuse from Cagliari fans, but insists he never considered leaving Juventus for PSG.

The incident at the Sardegna Arena during Inter’s 2-1 win was no surprise to Matuidi, as he and Juve teammate Moise Kean were given the exact same treatment here last season.

“I too had this problem in the same stadium, this time it happened to Lukaku,” said Matuidi in a Press conference while on international duty with France.

Wanda to remain on Tiki Taka

Mauro Icardi’s agent-wife Wanda Nara will keep her role as a pundit on Italian football show Tiki Taka this season, it has been confirmed.

Wanda’s fate had been shrouded in doubt by Icardi’s transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Inter and the legal action initiated by the pair against the Nerazzurri.

The show’s host Pierluigi Pardo had also criticised the showgirl and striker, branding their strategy with the Beneamata ‘a total failure’.
