Coulibaly close to Inter

Inter are believed to be very close to completing a deal for Pescara midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly.

The 18-year-old is a former refugee, and made his Serie A debut this season, going on to play nine games for the Delfini.

According to calciomercato.com, the two clubs are now finalising the terms of the transfer, after which Coulibaly will officially join the Nerazzurri.

Inter closing on Skriniar

Inter continue negotiations with Sampdoria for Milan Skriniar, so Andrea Ranocchia could join Sampdoria as part of the deal.

Multiple sources claim Nerazzurri directors met with Samp today to discuss the future of defender Skriniar.

The 22-year-old centre-back was a regular this season and is currently representing Slovakia at the Under-21 European Championship, despite already having seven senior caps.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter could use Ranocchia as part of an exchange, as he is admired by Sampdoria Coach Marco Giampaolo.

U21: Italy squad for Euros named

The Italy squad for the European Under-21 Championship has been announced, including Gianluigi Donnarumma, Federico Bernardeschi, Domenico Berardi and Roberto Gagliardini.

The tournament runs from June 18 in Poland with the Azzurrini facing Denmark, the Czech Republic and Germany.

Coach Gigi Di Biagio named his squad for the competition, including many Serie A regulars.

Francesco Totti hangs up his boots with numerous Roma records: most games (736), most goals (307) and most Serie A seasons on target (23).

With Italy and all competition, Totti played 786 games and scored 307 goals.

Totti closes on 619 Serie A appearances, joint second in the all-time charts with Gianluigi Buffon, second only to Paolo Maldini on 647. He played for 47,098 minutes of football – roughly 32 days and 17 hours. He scored 250 goals, runner-up to Silvio Piola’s 290.

Sousa: 'I didn't transmit my passion'

Paulo Sousa confirmed his departure from Fiorentina and admitted “perhaps I didn’t manage to transmit my passion for football.”

Zeman: 'Totti forced to retire'

Pescara Coach Zdenek Zeman maintains Francesco Totti “did not make the decision to retire, so this is a tragedy” for the Roma captain.

Today Totti waved goodbye to the Stadio Olimpico and his playing career, at least in a Giallorossi jersey, with a touching letter to the fans.

“I see this not as a celebration, but as a funeral,” Zeman told Sky Sport Italia.
