Koke: 'Bad memories from Turin'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke admits to having bad memories from Turin but believes Juventus are more than just Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last season, a 2-0 home win against Juve was not enough to get Atleti past the Round of 16 as they were sent out of the Champions League by a Ronaldo hat-trick at Allianz Stadium.

“Our last memories from Turin are not positive,” Koke said at a press conference. “Tomorrow we will do everything we can to win.”

Simeone: 'Ronaldo makes Atleti suffer'

Diego Simeone has urged Atletico Madrid to be wary of Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, who “always makes us suffer”.

The two sides lock horns tomorrow night with Juve already through, although Atleti will want to make sure they qualify for the last 16 too with a win.

However, the Spaniards will face a familiar foe in Ronaldo, who has scored 22 times against them in all competitions with Real Madrid and the Old Lady.

Sarri: 'Good Ronaldo rapport'

Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has assured that he gets on just fine with Cristiano Ronaldo. “If someone gets angry about being substituted, it’s a positive thing.”

After Ronaldo left the pitch in anger during Juve’s 1-0 win against Milan before the international break, he went on to score three goals for Portugal and was again left out for the trip to Atalanta.

However, Sarri made it clear there was nothing to add to the ongoing media circus.

Douglas Costa out for two weeks

Douglas Costa will be out for two weeks with a thigh strain, confirmed Juventus, while Matthijs de Ligt dislocated his shoulder.

The Bianconeri fought back to beat Atalanta 3-1 on Saturday, but it came at a price with new injury problems.

Douglas Costa only came on as a substitute in Bergamo, but still managed to suffer a new lesion to the right thigh.

It was confirmed by today’s tests at the J-Medical centre and a statement confirmed he will be out of action for circa 15 days.

Roma to send Kalinic back?

Roma could cut Nikola Kalinic’s loan spell short and return him to Atletico Madrid in January, claims Spanish paper Marca.
