Maxi Lopez family dedication

Torino striker Maxi Lopez had a special family dedication after beating Inter at San Siro.

The forward provided the flick-on from the corner for Emiliano Moretti to score with the last kick of the game.

“Grit, concentration and the Toro Heart, those are the ingredients that took us to victory right at the end,” Maxi Lopez told Itasportpress.

Ventura: 'Toro win no fluke'

Giampiero Ventura argues Torino’s last-second win over Inter was “not just good fortune or a fluke.”

The Granata hadn’t beaten Inter, home or away, since 1994 and their last victory at San Siro was 27 years ago.

“A goal scored at the last minute might seem like just good fortune or a fluke, but in reality we had several chances to score during the game and only allowed Inter two efforts from long range,” Ventura told Rai Sport.

Lopez: We can upset Roma

Maxi Lopez has insisted that Chievo are capable of competing with the likes of Roma this season, just as they can against smaller sides.

The Flying Donkeys’ key objective for another Serie A season is to avoid relegation, but their Argentine striker believes they have a greater potential, which they must show in Week 7’s trip to the Giallorossi.

“To put fear in Roma we have to play at the Olimpico like we did at Milan and Napoli,” Lopez has told the Corriere dello Sport.

Ahead of the test, their No 10 was asked about his opposite number in the Roma ranks.

“My 10 has nothing to do with his! Totti is historic,” Lopez has told Il Messaggero today.

‘Milan must watch Paloschi’

Mimmo Di Carlo believes Chievo forward Alberto Paloschi will be a danger in attack against Milan tomorrow.

The 24-year-old returns to San Siro for Saturday’s Week 6 fixture for the first time since the Gialloblu bought him outright from the Rossoneri.

For one of his former Coaches at the Bentegodi, this will be a game to keep an eye on the youngster.

“Alberto will have great motivation, he is a guy who closely resembles the Milan Coach - he will do everything to be seen,” Di Carlo has reflected to Tuttomercatoweb today.
