Romelu Lukaku and Chris Samlling are unlikely to be involved for Roma’s upcoming Serie A match against Napoli at the weekend, as the former Manchester United teammates trained separately from the rest of the Giallorossi squad on Friday according to recent updates.

The Roma squad were in for a recovery session on Friday, following Thursday night’s unusual 18-minute match against Udinese, and also used the day to begin preparations for Sunday’s trip to Naples.

Lukaku, however, continued to work individually. He was not involved against Udinese on Thursday, and also sat out of the 3-1 home loss to Bologna on Monday.

Smalling did line up against Udinese on Thursday night, but was brought off after about 15 minutes after struggling with what appeared to be a groin issue.

Calciomercato.com have confirmed that Evan Ndicka was involved in full training with the Roma squad for the first time since he was taken ill in the original Udinese match on April 14. He could be involved with the travelling squad against Napoli on Sunday.
