Carlo Ancelotti analyses the problems at Juventus and gives his Scudetto predictions in a “strange” Serie A race.

The Coach is taking a break and ready to get back to work in January, so sat down with the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

He cast his eye over the European scene, including the surprise leaders of the Liga and Serie A, Villarreal and Fiorentina.

“They are two different situations. In Italy, Fiorentina are doing very well and surprised the big clubs, who changed a great deal over the summer.

Fiorentina party like it's 1999!

Top of Serie A for the first time in 16 years, George Rinaldi says it’s well deserved and a sign of things to come.

On Sunday September 27, Paulo Sousa exited the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza having guided La Viola to top spot in Serie A for the first time in 16 years.

Think back to June 21, when the Portuguese prodigy was announced as Coach of the Florentine club, met with a mixture of optimism and scepticism. Many found it all rather odd, questioning where the beloved Aeroplanino had migrated to and what this ex-Swansea man could conjure up on the touchline. Six domestic wins later and everything is understood.

Giuseppe Rossi will also be in the travelling party following the renegotiation of his contract yesterday, with no real surprises in Sousa’s squad.

However, given Rossi subsequently missed the whole of last season, the ex-CT believes he’s due an apology.

“This is a special case,” Prandelli explained in an interview with Radio Blu.
