Pallotta: ‘Trust in Spalletti’

Roma President James Pallotta says ‘I trust Luciano Spalletti’ and that he’s ‘drastically changed things at Trigoria.’

The former Zenit boss was appointed after Rudi Garcia’s sacking earlier this month, but has secured only a draw with Verona and loss to Juventus since arriving.

Pallotta reiterated his faith in the new Coach and called on fans to have patience as the team ‘work night and day’ to resolve their issues.

Roma President James Pallotta has already seen “a strong change in the work ethic” under Luciano Spalletti.

The patron axed Rudi Garcia last week and, although Spalletti’s debut was a 1-1 draw against rock bottom Verona, he remains confident.

“I am not worried by the short-term results,” Pallotta told the Corriere dello Sport.

“I am sure we will get back to being a fantastic team. There has been a strong change in the work ethic over the last 10 days and I am certain we’ll reap the rewards.”

Roma need Spalletti stability

With Roma welcoming Luciano Spalletti back, Edo Dalmonte believes the Giallorossi need stability and coherence at the top if they’re to truly compete for silverware.

Eleven years ago, Luciano Spalletti succeeded a coach named Rudi at Roma, and went on to turn lead into gold. The previous season, Rudi Voller had failed to get any traction, eventually leaving caretaker Bruno Conti to save the Giallorossi from relegation after Chievo miracle-maker Gigi Del Neri had also been shown the door.

Pallotta 'disgusted' by Roma

Roma are plummeting down the table and President James Pallotta was reportedly “disgusted,” but Rudi Garcia remains.

The club continues to stand by its troubled tactician after last night’s 1-1 draw with Milan, which again saw the Giallorossi take the lead only to crumble in the second half.

They could end the weekend eight points adrift of the Serie A leaders and Scudetto hopes are vanishing fast.
