‘Messi, Ronaldo lack respect’

Fabio Capello believes Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi skipping the FIFA Football Awards shows “a lack of respect”.

Both players were selected in the FIFPro World XI, while Juventus striker Ronaldo made it to the final three for Player of the Year.

However, neither man attended the awards in London, with rumours that CR7 decided not to attend after hearing that Luka Modrid would win the big prize.

Capello: ‘Roma didn’t play’

Former Roma Coach Fabio Capello “didn’t like” the performance against Milan and advises them to play "9-0-1".

The Giallorossi lost 2-1 at San Siro thanks to Patrick Cutrone’s last-gasp goal, and the man who coached them to the Scudetto in 2001 was in the stands.

“I’d divide the Giallorossi’s game into two sections,” Capello explained to Il Romanista.
