Significance of selling Alex Sandro

No matter what the fee, Adam Digby feels Juventus would send all the wrong signals by letting Alex Sandro join Chelsea without a fight.

“The will of the player” is a refrain Beppe Marotta has begun to use repeatedly when Juventus lose one of their stars. It began with Arturo Vidal wanting to leave the Bianconeri in 2015, the Chilean expressing his desire to contend for the Champions League trophy with Bayern Munich, with Kingsley Coman soon following suit.

Chelsea in Alex Sandro talks

Chelsea are reportedly in talks to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro for a fee in excess of €56m.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are hopeful of a double deal that also sees Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko head to Stamford Bridge.

The pair would also satisfy Antonio Conte’s demands for reinforcements after recent reports suggested that the former Italy CT was growing impatient.

Alex Sandro joined Juve for €26m from Porto in 2015 and made 74 appearances for the Bianconeri in that time, winning two domestic Doubles.

Juve buy two with Alex Sandro cash

Juventus and Alex Sandro are ready to accept the €70m Chelsea offer, investing in Matteo Darmian and Mattia De Sciglio.

According to the Corriere della Sera newspaper, the €60m original proposal was tempting, but an increased bid of €70m really would sway them.

The Bianconeri paid €26m for the left-back two years ago, so would make a massive profit.

There are already plans to reinvest in two full-backs with very similar characteristics, as both Darmian and De Sciglio can play on the right or left.

Chelsea will try to tempt Juventus into parting with Alex Sandro by offering cash plus Cesar Azpilicueta if €70m alone won’t do it.

Antonio Conte is determined to snatch the left-back from the Turin giants, but the Bianconeri said they won’t sell unless he asks to go.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed today that Chelsea were increasing their €60m offer to €70m in order to convince Juve into a sale.

Chelsea €70m for Alex Sandro

After Juventus turned down €60m for Alex Sandro, it’s reported they will be sorely tempted when Chelsea come back offering €70m.

This week Bianconeri director Beppe Marotta confirmed they had received “a substantial offer” for Alex Sandro, but that he wasn’t for sale unless the player specifically requested it.

That proposal was believed to be for €60m (approximately £52.8m), but now La Gazzetta dello Sport claim Chelsea are preparing a new bid worth €65-70m (around £57.1m-£61.5m).
