Dunga: ‘Alex Sandro worthy of Juventus’

Brazil Coach Dunga assures 'Alex Sandro is a player worthy of Juventus’ with the full-back set to join from Porto.

The left-back is believed to be close to completing a transfer to the Bianconeri, for a fee of around €22m, and the Selecao boss explained to Tuttosport what the Old Lady will be getting.

“It would be a coup for the Bianconeri,” Dunga told the newspaper.

“He’s a classic Brazilian full-back, he combines great technique and speed. He’s hit a few shots reminiscent of Roberto Carlos.

Alex Sandro to Juventus done?

Reports suggest Juventus have completed a deal for Porto’s Alex Sandro, with the transfer to be finalised tomorrow.

The Bianconeri’s pursuit of the Brazilian stepped up a gear this evening, with reports suggesting a deal was close.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting that the transfer is all-but complete, with the Old Lady agreeing a fee of €22m plus bonuses.

Report: Juventus close to Alex Sandro

Juventus are close to agreeing a transfer for Porto full-back Alex Sandro, according to reports.

The Bianconeri are looking for a left-back, but appeared to have cooled interest in Guilherme Siqueira of Atletico Madrid in recent days.

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website claims Alex Sandro is close to joining the Old Lady, who are close to agreeing a fee of over €20m.

The website believes Sandro refused to renew his contract with the Portuguese side, meaning he could leave for free next summer.

Siqueira on Juve standby

Juventus have reportedly placed the deal for Atletico Madrid's Guilherme Siqueira on standby, perhaps to prioritise Porto's Alex Sandro.

The deal to bring the full-back to Serie A seemed a matter of hours, but recent reports indicate that everything has been frozen.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the agents of the Bianconeri have asked the player's entourage for more time before going ahead with the deal.

Beppe Marotta admits Porto’s Alex Sandro is ‘an interesting player’ but denies Juventus have opened negotiations.

The Bianconeri are believed to be in the market for a left-back, with rumours suggesting that the Brazilian is their top target.

Juventus prepare Alex Sandro bid?

Reports in Portugal say that Juventus are on the verge of launching a €15m bid for Porto left-back Alex Sandro.

Portuguese outlet A Bola has reported today that the Bianconeri are ready to submit their opening proposal for the 24-year-old.

The Brazil international, who joined Porto in 2011, has a contract running until next summer with the Portuguese club.

Juventus have been very active in the transfer market so far this summer, capturing Mario Mandzukic, Sami Khedira, Simone Zaza, Neto and Daniele Rugani.

Juventus will submit an offer for Porto left-back Alex Sandro in the coming days, according to reports.

The Bianconeri are believed to be in the market for full-back, with the left side of the defence representing a problem area, with 34-year-old Patrice Evra the only natural in that position.

Gazzetta dello Sport believes that officials from the Old Lady will fly to Portugal in the next 72 hours to submit an official offer for Alex Sandro.

Juventus could spend the Arturo Vidal money on Julian Draxler, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado or Alex Sandro.

Multiple sources claim Vidal is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich for €40m including performance-related bonuses.
