Juve join Grimaldo chase

Juventus have joined Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in tracking Benfica's Alex Grimaldo.

The highly rated 21-year-old left back plays for Portuguese club Benfica and has a contract until the end of 2021.

The fact that this contract includes a buyout clause of €60m has alerted Read Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United as well, claims transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla'.

Alex Sandro: ‘No Juventus excuses’

Alex Sandro admits Juventus have “no excuses” for losing to Inter, and believes it’s “not only” Napoli who will fight for the Scudetto.

The Bianconeri were defeated 2-1 in the Derby d’Italia, despite having taken a second-half lead through Stephan Lichtsteiner.

“I think it was a difficult game,” Alex Sandro explained to JTV.

“We knew we’d find a hostile environment and big pressure, a team which wanted to win at home. We had the chance to win, but unfortunately we didn’t succeed.

Alex Sandro: 'Juventus want it all'

Alex Sandro warns Juventus “want to win every competition this season and we’re working hard to achieve it.”

The Bianconeri have certainly been active on the transfer market, bringing in Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves, Marko Pjaca, Medhi Benatia and reportedly also Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuain.

Serie A trio get Brazil call

Alex Sandro, Felipe Anderson and Joao Miranda are on Brazil’s preliminary Copa America squad list.

Coach Carlos Dunga named a 40-man squad, which includes Ricky Kaka, Philippe Coutinho, Hulk and Douglas Costa.

Serie A representatives are Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro, Lazio forward Felipe Anderson and Inter defender Miranda.

Also involved is Alisson, the Internacional goalkeeper who will be heading for Roma next season.

Brazil are in Group B with Ecuador, Haiti and Peru.

Alex Sandro always trusted Juve

Alex Sandro “believed right from the start” Juventus would be successful and revealed he’s learning more about Serie A every day.

Alex Sandro has €50m price-tag

Brazilian media claim Juventus told Manchester City and Manchester United that Alex Sandro costs €50m.

The left-back arrived in Turin from Porto last summer for €26m, a huge investment for the 25-year-old.

He took some time to adjust to life in Serie A, but has now made 27 appearances for the club in all competition.

According to Globo Esporte in Brazil, Juve told interested parties Manchester City and Manchester United that Alex Sandro is not on the market.

Chiellini nears Juventus return

Giorgio Chiellini returned to Juventus training today, but concern remains over Paulo Dybala, Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Barzagli.

Chiellini has been battling a calf injury, briefly returning for the win over Inter in February before breaking down again.
