Nice block Inter for Dalbert

Reports in France say Inter had an agreement with Dalbert, but Nice have no intention of selling him.

The 23-year-old was a key man as les Aiglons surprisingly qualified for the Champions League this season, and he has also been touted as potential replacement for Alex Sandro at Juventus.

According to Nice-Matin, Dalbert had agreed a five-year contract with the Nerazzurri, with the guarantee that he’d be first choice at left-back.

Dalbert opens Alex Sandro to Chelsea

Brazilian reports claim Juventus are close to a deal for Nice left-back Dalbert, which would free up Alex Sandro for Chelsea.

According to Globoesporte.com, the Old Lady are at a very advanced stage of negotiations with both the French club and the player’s entourage.

Dalbert had already been heavily linked with Inter, but they were not prepared to meet the €15m asking price.

That would not be an issue for Juve, but above all the arrival of one Brazilian left-back would mean the exit of another – Alex Sandro.

Marotta: 'Juve priority isn't buying'

Beppe Marotta said Juventus “will be more concrete” on the transfer market in the next few weeks, “but for now the priority is confirming the squad that reached Cardiff.”

The Bianconeri director general also commented on Dani Alves, Paul Pogba and Alex Costa, so you can read that here.

“We have a squad that reached the Champions League Final, so being able to confirm them en mass would be an achievement in itself,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

Marotta: 'Dani Alves leaves Juve'

Juventus director Beppe Marotta confirmed Dani Alves will terminate his contract by mutual consent for Manchester City, while Alex Sandro “received a substantial offer.”

Dani Alves only arrived a year ago as a free agent when his Barcelona deal expired, contributing six goals and seven assists in 33 competitive games.

“It’s not a breakdown of our rapport, as motivation is fundamental for a player,” Marotta told Calciomercato.com and Mediaset Premium today.

Chelsea €60m bid for Alex Sandro

Juventus are holding firm despite Chelsea raising their Alex Sandro bid to €60m (£52.7m), according to the Italian papers.

Antonio Conte has set his sights firmly on the Brazilian left-back, who the Bianconeri only signed from FC Porto in 2015 for €26m.

He contributed three goals and seven assists in 43 competitive games this season, but also pushed Patrice Evra towards the exit and made a big name for himself in Europe.

Alex Sandro price is €60m

If Juventus were to sell Manchester City and Chelsea target Alex Sandro, it would only be for a minimum of €60m (£52m), according to Tuttosport.

However, the Bianconeri paid €26m to sign the left-back from FC Porto in the summer of 2015 and his value has comfortably doubled in that time.

The big game player

Starting Dani Alves in a more advanced role for Juventus in the Champions League Final makes perfect sense, writes Richard Hall.

What do Mario Mandzukic, Sami Khedira and Dani Alves have in common? They have all won the Champions League. This certainly would have been in the minds of the Juventus hierarchy when they signed them, despite in some cases eyebrows being raised at the time.

Some who bet on sports thought Alves' career to be in its last gasps, but he has proved during his time in Turin why he is going to be one of the Bianconeri’s most dangerous assets in Cardiff this weekend.
