Report: Lazio all-in for Kumbulla

Lazio have reportedly gone all-in for Verona defender Marash Kumbulla but face fresh competition from Arsenal.

Kumbulla has been chiefly linked with Napoli and Inter in recent weeks, but Tuttosport writes Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is ready to become acquainted with his fellow Albanian.

However, it is warned they ‘above all’ face competition from Arsenal, as well as their Serie A rivals

There is also the issue of meeting Verona’s €30m asking price, so the newspaper points to Adam Marusic as the key.

Serie A: New protocol verdict within two days

The verdict on Serie A’s new medical protocol, sent to the CTS for approval, will reportedly be announced within the next two days.

The Lega Serie A, Player’s Association and Association of Sports Medics had all rejected the protocol agreed by the Government, mainly because it demands a whole group to be quarantined if there’s a positive test for coronavirus.

Serie A wants a similar approach to Germany and Spain, who will only isolate the individual who has coronavirus.

New medical protocol could be breakthrough

The FIGC has sent a new 14-page medical protocol to the Minister for Sport, who immediately passed it on to the CTS for approval, as Serie A might finally have a breakthrough for the return to training.

The Lega Serie A, Players’ Association and Association of Sports Medics all rejected the protocol agreed by the Government on Wednesday, mainly because it demands a whole group to be quarantined for 15 days if there is one positive COVID-19 test.

Udinese: 'Madness to start June 13'

Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino maintains ‘starting the Serie A games from June 13 would be absolute madness for players and clubs.’

They are allowed to begin group training from tomorrow, but there are still discussions over the medical protocol.

The Government insists if there is one positive COVID-19 case, the entire group has to go into a 15-day quarantine rather than just isolating the individual.
