Milan lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich on Marco Giampaolo’s debut, but the Coach saw ‘so many positives’.

Giampaolo fielded new signing Theo Hernandez at left-back and Paolo Maldini’s son Daniel as his No 10, while Fabio Borini started in central midfield and Samu Castillejo partnered Krzysztof Piatek up top.

However, Leon Goretzka’s goal on the stroke of half-time proved the difference between the two sides.

“We are tired, both physically and mentally, as I saw the players were really exhausted in training today. At least there were no injuries, that’s the positive thing,” said the Coach in a Press conference.
