Douglas Costa: 'Sarri always says...'

Douglas Costa reveals the thing about Juventus players that most frustrates Maurizio Sarri and he does it with the tactician’s colourful language.

The Brazilian was speaking to Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc on an Instagram Live chat when he confessed a training ground scene that is evidently quite familiar in Turin.

“Sarri always says, come on guys, don’t just **** about when you’re pressing, why do you always do that? Don’t go willy-nilly.”

Juventus' recovered trio in full training

Juventus trio Blaise Matuidi, Daniele Rugani and Paulo Dybala are, according to Tuttosport, not experiencing any physical problems in training after having recovered from COVID-19.

A medical investigation had revealed that coronavirus patients could suffer chronic respiratory problems after having contracted the virus.

Juventus immediately carried out thorough checks on their players and staff, carefully following up the three members of the squad who tested positive for the virus.

Juventus defender Merih Demiral could gradually return to the pitch, as the Turkey international steps up his recovery at Continassa.

Jorginho agent on Juventus: 'Why not?'

Jorginho’s agent has again refused to confirm or deny he could leave Chelsea for Juventus. ‘If an important club in Italy calls, then why not?’

The reports of a return to Serie A were inevitable when Maurizio Sarri took the Bianconeri job, as Jorginho already worked with him at Napoli and Stamford Bridge.

With Miralem Pjanic on his way out, probably to Barcelona, Jorginho would be an ideal replacement in the Juve midfield.

The problem with Pjanic

With Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG queuing up for Miralem Pjanic, Livio Caferoglu explains why Juventus aren’t doing more to keep the midfielder.

“If you ask my opinion, I’d like to see Miralem Pjanic touch the ball 150 times per game,” Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri famously declared at his official unveiling 11 months ago, resisting a possible reunion with Chelsea and Napoli protégé Jorginho. Eleven months later, however, and the Bosnian is facing an existential crisis in Turin. Despite his struggles adapting to ‘Sarriball’, Pjanic has no shortage of suitors and Juve don’t seem to mind.
