Thohir: 'Hope to confirm De Boer'

President Erick Thohir 'hopes to confirm' new Inter Coach Frank De Boer shortly as the successor to Roberto Mancini.

Il Mancio's departure from the Nerazzurri is now officially confirmed, and the consensus is that the Dutch Coach will be announced later today as his replacement.

Asked by Goal Indonesia on the matter, Thohir sounded hopeful.

“We hope to be able to confirm that soon,” said the president.

Inter train without Mancini

Inter are currently training without Roberto Mancini, as the club prepares an unveiling of Frank De Boer for tomorrow.

The 51-year-old reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri to terminate his employment as Coach of the senior squad.

As a consequence, and even though the details of the divorce are not certain yet, the Corriere dello Sport reports that the team is now training without their Coach, under the direction of the technical staff.

Inter line-up De Boer

Roberto Mancini is expected to leave Inter, with reports Piero Ausilio has already met with Frank de Boer.

After a summer of tension between Coach and club, it emerged this evening that talks are underway to resolve Mancini’s contract.

According to Mediaset, sporting director Ausilio has already met with former Ajax Coach De Boer in the Netherlands, making him the strong favourite to replace Mancio on the San Siro bench.
