Juventus talks with Barzagli, Evra

Juventus will reportedly offer new contracts to Andrea Barzagli and Patrice Evra, but Martin Caceres will leave.

The three defenders are all out of contract at the end of the season, meaning they can talk to other clubs in January.

According to Calciomercato, the club will meet with Barzagli’s agent, Claudio Orlandini, before Christmas, with the veteran expected to agree on a new deal, although he has other offers.

Juve stars to miss Man City

Patrice Evra, Sami Khedira, Hernanes and Martin Caceres are all expected to miss Juventus v Manchester City.

The Champions League showdown in Turin is on Wednesday evening.

The Bianconeri beat Milan 1-0 last night, but paid a heavy price for that Serie A victory, picking up more injury problems.

Roberto Pereyra and Kwadwo Asamoah are already out of action and Khedira missed that match due to a muscular problem.

Fenerbahce eye Caceres

Juventus defender Martin Caceres could be heading to Turkey for Fenerbahce in January.

The Uruguay international will be out of contract at the end of the season and had several off the field issues, including a nasty car crash a couple of months ago.

According to Milliyet in Turkey, Fenerbahce see Caceres as the ideal replacement for his fellow Uruguayan Diego Lugano.

Buffon and Mandzukic doubts

Juventus confirm Gigi Buffon, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mario Mandzukic are in doubt to face Milan on Saturday.

The Bianconeri are getting their players back from international duty, though Paulo Dybala and Martin Caceres will return from South America tomorrow.

Goalkeeper and captain Buffon went off during the 2-2 draw with Romania last night with a right thigh problem.

A statement released by the club confirmed he will undergo further tests and “his availability against Milan will be evaluated.”

Allegri: ‘Doubts over line-up’

Max Allegri admits he still has “some doubts” over Juventus’ line-up for the Derby della Mole.

The Bianconeri face Torino tomorrow, and currently lie three points behind their city rivals.

“What do we have to do to save our season?” Allegri considered in his pre-match Press conference.

“Rise up the table. We can’t say ‘we’ve arrived, we’ve arrived’ after every game. We have to get through in the Champions League, with two decisive games. That’s the first goal.

Allegri: ‘Focus on winning’

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri insists he’s not looking at other teams - “we have to think about winning our games.”

The Bianconeri are currently eight points adrift of table-topping Roma, but the tactician isn’t looking at the results of their rivals.

“First we have to try and win another game, which is tomorrow,” Allegri told reporters in his Press conference ahead of the Sassuolo game.

Caceres out for 10-15 days

Juventus defender Martin Caceres is out for 10-15 days after spraining his ankle for Uruguay.

He sustained an injury to both ankles while on international duty and arrived back in Turin today.

Caceres underwent tests that showed only the left ankle has been sprained, while the right has a bruise.

Juve released a statement confirming he will be out of action for around 10-15 days.

The Bianconeri had only just decided to welcome Caceres back into the squad after he was suspended for crashing his car.

Caceres to return for Juventus

Martin Caceres will return to the Juventus squad ahead of the Inter match, following his exclusion.

The Uruguayan defender crashed his Ferrari in Turin last month, and was over the legal drink-drive limit.

That led to a temporary suspension from first team activities, but Sky reports that the full-back will make his return ahead of the Inter match.

Juve’s Caceres in car crash

Juventus defender Martin Caceres has reportedly had his driving license revoked after crashing his Ferrari in Turin last night.

Corriere dello Sport has reported that the Uruguay is unharmed after crashing into a bus stop around 12:40am, but that he failed a breathalyser test.

The paper writes that the Old Lady defender has had his license revoked as a result of exceeding the legal limit for alcohol.
