Sky Sport Italia claim that Florent Ghisolfi, currently in charge at OGC Nice, is the favourite to take over as Roma director of sport.

The Giallorossi have been without anyone in the role since Tiago Pinto decided to walk away at the end of the January transfer window.

It was part of a total shake-up that also saw the club sack Jose Mourinho a few weeks earlier.

Dan and Ryan Friedkin have been working on finding a new figure who can take charge of their transfer strategy and help coach Daniele De Rossi.

Roma look to Ghisolfi

The latest report from Gianluca Di Marzio suggests they are looking towards France and current Nice director of sport Ghisolfi.

He is not their only candidate, as others include Florian Maurice of Rennes, who had already been mentioned several weeks ago.

Names closer to home were ex-Milan director Ricky Massara, who has already worked for Roma before, and Atalanta chief Tony D’Amico, who was only appointed two years ago.
