Milan: 'No meeting with Lippi'

Milan's official television channel insists "there was never any meeting" between Silvio Berlusconi and Marcello Lippi.

It was reported today that the Diavolo President had met with the former Italy CT, with Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic's job under scrutiny.

In recent weeks, it has been suggested that Lippi could come in as a technical director, with Christian Brocchi working under him.

Report: Berlusconi meets Lippi

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has met with Marcello Lippi in case Sinisa Mihajlovic is sacked, according to reports.

It’s thought the Serbian Coach’s job is safe for now, following the Rossoneri’s second half performance against Roma, but his position is still precarious.

News agency Adnkronos claims that Berlusconi has met with former Juventus and Italy Coach Marcello Lippi to sound him out about a possible role if Mihajlovic leaves.

Second half saves Miha?

Milan’s second half performance against Roma on Saturday night saved Sinisa Mihajlovic’s job, say reports.

The Rossoneri went into the break 1-0 down at the Stadio Olimpico, before Juraj Kucka levelled during a dominant second period for the visitors.

Tuttosport have reported today that President Silvio Berlusconi decided during a phone call with vice-President Adriano Galliani on Friday to fire the Serbian even in the case of a draw.

Mihajlovic: 'Milan deserved more'

Sinisa Mihajlovic felt Milan “deserved more” than a 1-1 draw away to Roma and welcomed Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The Giallorossi had a very strong start, scoring with Antonio Rudiger after four minutes, but the Rossoneri held the initiative for most of the game and equalised through Juraj Kucka.

“I am happy, the team did well and we deserved more,” Mihajlovic told Mediaset Premium.

Montolivo: ‘Milan giving everything’

Milan captain Riccardo Montolivo assures he and his teammates “gave everything for the shirt” with Bologna.

The Rossoneri lost at home to Roberto Donadoni’s side on Wednesday, heaping the pressure on Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
