‘Milan closer to Juventus’

Ignazio Abate believes the gap between Juventus and Milan is “definitely smaller” this season.

The Rossoneri are currently two points ahead of the defending champions, and travel to Turin to face the Old Lady tomorrow.

“The gap? It’s definitely smaller compared to the past,” Montolivo stated in the pre-match Press conference.

“We’ve started on a new path with a new Coach [Sinisa Mihajlovic], we have a different perspective.

‘Milan need consistency’

Sinisa Mihajlovic admits both positive and negative displays are “the real Milan”, calling for more consistency.

The Rossoneri’s form has varied wildly this season, with a three-game winless streak followed by a trio of victories, before a disappointing draw with Atalanta.

“The real Milan is the one you see every week, both teams,” Mihajlovic told reporters in his Press conference ahead of the Juventus game.

Miha: ‘Juventus not decisive’

Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic insists tomorrow’s match against Juventus will not be “decisive”.

The match is traditionally one of the biggest in Serie A, but both sides have endured mixed starts to the season, with the Rossoneri currently sixth, one place and two points ahead of their Turin rivals.

“It’s useless to talk about the importance of a match against Juventus,” Mihajlovic admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

Ancelotti: ‘Milan problems normal’

Carlo Ancelotti says the problems Milan have faced this season are ‘normal’ and praises Sinisa Mihajlovic for selecting 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Ancelotti spent time with the Rossoneri as a player and a Coach and doesn’t believe that their Serbian Coach should have reason to worry for his job.

“There have been ups and downs, I think that’s normal because a new Coach has arrived and also the players and method of work have changed,” he said to Il Giornale.

Galliani: ‘Mihajlovic very secure’

Milan vice-President Adriano Galliani reassures Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic: “His bench is very stable at the moment.”

The Serbian, who took over at San Siro in the summer, has found himself under constant scrutiny this season.

However, a good run of recent form has seen the club rise to sixth place in Serie A, seven points behind leaders Fiorentina and Inter.

“We’ve taken 11 points in this last section,” Galliani told Tuttomercatoweb.

“Mihajlovic’s bench is very stable at the moment.

Miha: 'Milan lucky to get draw'

Sinisa Mihajlovic admits Milan “were lucky to scrape a point” in their 0-0 draw with Atalanta.

The Rossoneri failed to register a fourth consecutive victory, but are now unbeaten in six Serie A rounds.

“This is a Milan with the quality to target our objective, which is the top three. It seems a bit premature to talk about targets and ambitions when we’re 12 rounds in,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
