‘Not just Juventus after Berardi’

Sassuolo’s managing director Giovanni Carnevali says Juventus ‘aren’t the only team chasing Domenico Berardi.’

The Old Lady’s interest in the Italian starlet is no secret, but Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida has also been spotted at the Mapei Stadium recently.

Carnevali praised his relationship with Juve director general and ‘lifelong friend’ Giuseppe Marotta, and said he can ‘rule out’ any chance of a January sale.

Juve, Barca after Vrsaljko?

Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida reportedly watched Sime Vrsaljko for Sassuolo against Lazio, with Juventus also keen.

Calciomercato.com writes today that the Blaugrana director, who was also believed to be monitoring Lazio’s Felipe Anderson and Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi, could attempt a move in the summer.

Klopp's Liverpool want Berardi

Jürgen Klopp reportedly wants Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi to be his first Liverpool signing, but Juventus have an option.

The prodigious 21-year-old is a second striker more than a pure centre-forward, yet has a remarkable scoring record in Serie A.

This is only his third campaign in the top flight, yet he has already put together 31 Serie A goals in 66 games, plus 18 assists.

According to the Daily Mirror and calciomercato.com, Klopp has been keeping tabs on Berardi for some time and wanted him at Borussia Dortmund.

Conte: ‘Pirlo injury not serious’

Antonio Conte assures Andrea Pirlo’s injury is “nothing serious” but it’s “unthinkable” he could play tomorrow.

It was announced earlier today that the New York City midfielder would miss Italy’s clash with Azerbaijan, as he has suffered an adductor injury, but the CT assures the injury is not a bad one.

“During the warm-up match, Andrea went into a challenge with a teammate,” Conte explained to Sky.
