‘Chiellini, Bonucci can come to Harvard’

Harvard University’s assistant soccer coach would welcome Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci - “Chiellini’s nose could be donated to science…”

Following Juventus’ 1-0 win over Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday, Jose Mourinho said the pair should teach defending at Harvard.

“I’ve thought about it,” said Francesco D’Agostino, as reported by TuttoJuve.

Bonucci: ‘Juventus aiming for CL final’

Leonardo Bonucci confirms Juventus “hope to reach the final” of the Champions League, after beating Manchester United last night.

The Bianconeri dominated at Old Trafford, and will secure a place in the Last 16 with a draw in the return in Turin, while a win could see them top the group with two games to spare.

“The idea was to dominate the game and in the first half we succeeded,” Bonucci told UEFA.com.

“In the second we dropped off a little bit, but we deserved to win. I and the whole team hope to reach the final.

Bonucci: 'It all went perfectly'

Leonardo Bonucci said “it all went perfectly” as Juventus took away a 1-0 Champions League victory from Manchester United.

The Bianconeri have a 100 per cent record in the Champions League this season after three games and haven’t conceded a single goal.

Paulo Dybala’s early effort proved enough at Old Trafford, where they visitors had almost 70 per cent possession in the first half.

Bonucci: Rejected United for Juve

Leonardo Bonucci claims he rejected an offer from Manchester United to show that ‘being a player at Juventus is not just about wearing this jersey’.

United were one of the clubs linked with Bonucci once it became clear that he would leave Milan over the summer, but the defender instead returned to Juve in a swap deal with Mattia Caldara.

“Basically there have been some possibilities both with Manchester City and with Manchester United,” he told The Telegraph ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League showdown at Old Trafford.

‘Anyone would want Bonucci’

Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli is still full of respect for Leonardo Bonucci - “everyone would want him in their team”.

The centre-back joined the Rossoneri as captain in the summer of 2017, but this summer he returned to Juventus after just 12 months in exchange for Mattia Caldara.

Romagnoli inherited the armband, but he doesn’t feel any bitterness toward his former teammate.

“Everyone knows the value of Leo, and everyone would want him in their team,” Romagnoli told Sky.

Bonucci backs Milan for derby

Leonardo Bonucci says he is ‘backing’ Milan to win next week’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

Bonucci only lasted a season at Milan as he re-joined Juventus over the summer, but the defender made it clear he valued his spell with the Rossoneri more than his stint as an Inter youth player.

“I hope to see a great game, but I’m backing Milan,” he continued at a Press conference for Italy’s Nations League match against Poland on Sunday.

“I left behind a good bunch of lads and a great Coach.”

Bonucci: Nothing has changed!

Leonardo Bonucci claims ‘nothing has changed’ since Italy’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Roberto Mancini has replaced Giampaolo Ventura as Italy’s CT, yet the FIGC remains without a permanent President and has been run by a commissionership since February.

“I like winning, but losing gives me sour grapes. I’ve felt good since re-joining Juve, but more substance is needed here,” Bonucci said at a Press conference for Sunday’s Nations League clash with Poland.

Bonucci: Leaving Juve a mistake

Leonardo Bonucci admits ‘my dream is to become Juventus’ Coach’ and that ‘leaving for Milan wasn’t the right decision’.

A reported rift with Max Allegri led to Bonucci joining Milan last summer, but the defender lasted just one season at San Siro before returning to the Bianconeri.

“My dream is to become the Coach of a big team, possibly Juventus,” the defender told Corriere dello Sport.

Serie A players in Team of the Week

There are five Serie A players in UEFA’s Champions League team of the week, all from Juventus and Roma.

All four Italian sides won in matchday 2, the first time that’s happened since November 2005.

Juve eased past Young Boys 3-0, while Roma thrashed Czech champions Viktoria Plzen 5-0.

Last night Napoli secured a late winner over Liverpool, while Inter came from behind to beat Paris Saint-Germain.

Today UEFA has named the Champions League team of the week, and Juve’s Paulo Dybala and Leonardo Bonucci have made the cut.

Bonucci: ‘My strongest Juventus’

Leonardo Bonucci believes this is “the strongest Juventus” he’s played for, “and the one with the best character”.

The centre-back returned to the Bianconeri this summer, just a year after controversially leaving to join Milan.

Though he wasn’t exactly welcomed back, he has begun to win over the fans in Turin.

“It’s nice to receive the applause from the Curva, as happened after my goal on Saturday against Napoli,” Bonucci admitted in an interview with Corriere di Torino.
