Marchisio returns to Juventus training

Claudio Marchisio has returned to Juventus training, but Medhi Benatia has a thigh injury.

Marchisio has been sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury since April, took part in training at Vinovo today for a portion of the session.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri is expecting the midfielder to be fit for action in October, but so far hasn’t given a more specific return date.

The Bianconeri were defeated by Inter at San Siro yesterday, with Medhi Benatia going off injured in the first half.

Del Piero: ‘No Juventus regrets’

Alessandro Del Piero has “no regrets” over his Juventus departure, and doesn’t rule-out returning one day.

The forward left the club in 2012 after the Bianconeri didn’t offer a new contract, closing out his career with Sydney FC and Delhi Dynamos.

Many were unhappy with the way the club treated one of its legends, but Pinturicchio insists his relationship with Juve President Andrea Agnelli is fine.

Benatia: ‘Roma will fight for Scudetto’

Juventus defender Medhi Benatia expects his old team Roma to “be there until the end” for the Scudetto.

The centre-back spent the 2013-14 season with the Giallorossi before leaving to join Bayern Munich.

After injuries limited his impact in Bavaria, the 29-year-old has returned to Serie A, joining the Bianconeri on loan.

“Roma look good,” Benatia told Sky.

Benatia: ‘Juventus want the treble’

Juventus defender Medhi Benatia sets lofty goals for the coming season - “we want to win all the trophies we’re involved in”.

The Moroccan international has joined the Bianconeri on loan from Bayern Munich, and is looking to compete for the Champions League.

“Don’t forget that two years ago Juve were in the final of the Champions League and were unlucky against Bayern last season,” Benatia pointed out in an interview with mountakhab.net.

Barzagli: ‘Champions League dream’

Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli discusses his Champions League “dream” and has “positive feelings” about continuing with Italy.

The Bianconeri have signed the likes of Medhi Benatia, Miralem Pjanic and Gonzalo Higuain this summer, but the centre-back warns that won’t guarantee success on its own.

“This year, important players have come in who will raise the technical level,” Barzagli told Sky.

Benatia: ‘Can’t wait for Juventus’

Medhi Benatia “can’t wait” to link-up with the rest of the Juventus team after the pre-season tour.

The Bianconeri completed their tour of Australia and the Far East today, with the centre-back scoring in a 2-1 win over South China AA.

Those players who were involved in Euro 2016 have been working at Vinovo while the rest of the team was on tour, and Benatia looks forward to joining the likes of Gigi Buffon and Gonzalo Higuain.

Trial Juve beat South China

Juventus have defeated South China AA by 2-1, with goals by new signing Medhi Benatia and youngster Lorenzo Rosseti.

The Bianconeri were in Hong Kong as part of a long summer tour that took them to Australia and then up through Southeast Asia.

Their friendly against South China AA showed that they are still finding their form, as they struggled in the early phases.

In fact the Italians went under by a goal as early as the 21', when Chian Siu Ki took advantage of a blooper by goalkeeper Neto.

Aussie trip bolsters Juve preparations

Juventus completed their two-match tour of Australia this week ahead of the new season. Luca Cetta was in Melbourne to get a close-up look at Bianconeri preparations.

As Massimiliano Allegri watched with intent from the bench, whispers filtered through the Melbourne Cricket Ground crowd. It was during the first half of Juventus’ International Champions Cup game with Melbourne Victory that word broke in Italy of Gonzalo Higuain’s shock Bianconeri medical.

Benatia: 'Ready to win'

Medhi Benatia says he is 'ready' to face Tottenham Hotspur, and believes Juventus 'must keep winning in all tournaments'.

The central defender was among the first great signings in what is proving to be one of the most memorable transfer campaigns the Old Lady ever had.

“I am ready,” Benatia told the Press, ahead of tomorrow's International Champions Cup game against the English team. “This is an important test and the best way to confront it is by treating it like a championship game.
